I bought this in the Spot Resist Finish and it looks great. The motion sense feature is wonderful and I like the fact that the water temperature for hands free operation can be preset at the control. Installation was simple because of the provided quick connect fittings. Watch the installation video on the Moen site to see just how easy it is to install.

I love this faucet!!!

Date:[May 11, 2013]
I absolutely adore this faucet! It's hard to imagine life in the kitchen before it. My family & friends chuckle because I love it so much; however, I catch them using it with a big smile on their face.

Greatest Product Ever

Date:[May 9, 2013]
I wanted to purchase this product last year before it was for sale. At that time we weren't ready to redo our kitchen. I printed out the information on the Arbor with MotionSense and kept it. This year we got our granite countertops and I knew what faucet I wanted. I went on-line and researched faucets again but this one was still it. This time I got a different color because we got a black granite sink. This faucet is awesome. My husband jokingly says that you need a degree to use it. I find It very easy to use and so does he. He shows it to everyone that comes over.
I feel that I will save on my water bill because of the way the faucet works. I have only had this faucet for a few weeks but I love it.
I love all of Moen's products. I have two Moen bathroom faucets that show no spots, which is great. Thank you for coming up with this product.

Fabulous Product

Date:[March 19, 2013]
I love this faucet. It was easy to install and the sensors are great to have when your hands are full. I only wish that the MotionSense feature was available on all faucets. I have other Moen faucets in my home and it's interesting when I go to wash my hands and expect them to turn on. This is the best product ever!!

Great Features

Date:[March 5, 2013]
I had t installed by a professional, which I would recommend. Works like a charm. Of course, we did not read the instruction booklet and wound up shutting off both sensors by accident(the book tells you how to do that on purpose if you want to). So when I finally read the booklet after trying to figure out how to reset the sensors on my own. I read how easy it was to 'reboot' which I did, but without paying attention to the part that says that you can't have anything, including your body parts, within 3 feet of the sensors during the 10 second reboot time. So I called the Moen support number. James was extremely helpful and walked me through making sure the #4 filter was clean, which was easy to do. Any then he walked me through the reboot procedure, warning me to keep my body below the sink so as not to be near the sensors during the 10 second reboot. Everything now works fine and I learned a lot about the filter, the reboot procedure and how great support is. Thanks James and Moen.

I Love This Thing

Date:[March 1, 2013]
When you first open the box it's very intimidating seeing all the extras as opposed to a regular faucet... but this is definitely no regular faucet.
Both the included instructions and the online video of installation are pretty much foolproof.
I am hoping this Moen product stands the test of time even half as well as all the others in our home. In the rare instances we have needed a part or other assistance, the company has gone above and beyond. This is a new faucet so can't comment yet on durability but am not worried.

Sensor recaliperation...

Date:[February 18, 2013]
I just installed this unit and think it is amazing. I had one issue with the foward facing sensor. It seemed that every time I put something under the faucet, I would need to be about 2" away from the sensor for it to work. After reading the comments on this site, I found that someone else had the same problem. Fortunately, a Moen representative responded with a solution to this problem. So if you installed this unit and happen to notice that the forward facing sensor is not working as good as it should, then do this:
"In regards to the Ready sensor, this may need to be rebooted if during the initial installation someone or something was within three feet of the sensor which may have impacted the calibration. The sensor needs a minimum of a three foot clear space to calibrate the sensor distance. To reboot the system remove all items from inside and in front of the sink. Remove the battery cable from the grey control box under the sink. Wait one minute, then plug the battery pack back into the control box. You will hear the water turn on and off. The faucet has re-calibrated and you may now stand up and test your sensors."

Thinking about buying - have a question?

Date:[January 25, 2013]
Does the water cut off after a certain amount of time? For instance, what would happen if a cat jumped up on the sink and activated the sensor? In short, does the water stop after a certain amount of time or would it continue to flow as long as the object (cat) continued to block the sensor.

Response from Moen:By Moen Consumer ServicesJanuary 31, 2013
MotionSense faucets are activated by two sensors; the ready sensor on the front of the spout and the wave sensor on the top of the spout. The ready sensor will activate the faucet whenever your hands or a dish (or in this case your cat) enters the activation zone in front of the spout under the spray wand. The water would continue to run until the object, your hands or your cat moved away from the activation zone. The wave sensor starts the faucet when something passes over the top of the spout. The water will continue to flow until something passes over the sensor again. The wave sensor has a two minute safety shutoff feature that will shut off the faucet in case the shutoff wave is not completed. If you are concerned the ready sensor will not please your cat, the sensor can be deactivated and reactivated to meet your needs.

First Impressions

Date:[January 21, 2013]
This product was easy to install and is easy to use. The functionality works very well. The motionsense is great and very useful. I would recommend two adjustments, though. First, the front facing detector should aim a little lower so it detects an object slightly below the lip of the sink rather than just above the lip. There would be less splashing or accidental initiation of running water. Second, the (automatic) flow rate should be adjustable in addition to the temperature. I know it can be adjusted with manual override, but I find the preset flow rate is a little too strong. The convenience of the motionsense easily overrides those minor complaints.

Appropriate for kitchen use

Date:[January 10, 2013]
You should carefully read all of the instructions if you intend to install the faucet yourself.
The instructions are very concise and we had no problem with the installation.
The sendors are very handy when your hands are full. The finish cleans with a soft cloth.
My counter top has a raised snack bar, therefore, I had to install the faucet on a small angle so the handle would operate at its full range. This did not cause a problem.
I definitely would recommend this producgt for a new installation or replacement. We and our family adopted well to the new faucet.

MotionSense

Date:[December 22, 2012]
I installed this today after my new onyx and granite counter tops were installed. So far its awesome. Just will take a few days to realize that you no longer have to grab the handle to turn on the water. Great for the countertop as you do not need to drip water every time you turn off the faucet. It was easy to install and the instructions were easy to follow and it came with everything including the wrench to tighten the faucet to the counter behind the sink. Actually you still need a few tools but nothing exotic. I hope to get many years of service. Thank you Moen.

Must Own One

Date:[December 21, 2012]
I love this product , im the cook in the house and the convienence that the hands free provides can only be appreciated after you use it. My first thought was will it preform as advertised, it does! Install was very easy if your even a little handy and can follow simple directions. One thing i would change about the design would be the ability to control the hands free water temperature by leaving the manuel handle in position desired rather than preset control, price, as is usually the case you get what you pay for!

Awsome product

Date:[December 11, 2012]
The whole family is totally in love with the MotionSense faucet. We've
only had it for two days, but we are sold! So easy to use, so convenient. Looks great! I only gave it 4 stars on Durability because we don't know what's going to happen in the future and 4 on Installation because a plumber installed it and it took him some time, but other than that we highly recommend this product. Good job, Moen! Genius!

The Best Kitchen Faucet Ever

Date:[November 28, 2012]
The Arbor pulldown kitchen faucet with MotionSense is the most impressive faucet I have ever had. It works great. I love the convenience of a simple hand movement over the faucet that activates the flow of water. The faucet is so convenient, it works on command. The faucet is SPOT resistant stainless, no fingerprints or water spots. It is well made and it always offers smooth movement and easy operation.

Really like it

Date:[November 22, 2012]
The faucet works exactly as advertised. It is simple to install and use. I like the features and the way it looks. I installed optional AC power adapter, so there are batteries to change. I rated the faucet with five stars for durability. The parts appear to be well made. Only time will tell if it is really durable. It is pricey.
